This winter, three of the Ezekiel Surf Club members - Nick Maimone, Travis Harder, and Kyle Kennelly - took a break from the rapid velocity of life in the city and took to the countryside in search of serenity, surf, and speculation. Sometimes it can be difficult to hear yourself think in a metropolis, these gentlemen broke away from the grind in search of some headspace. This short by Michael Cukr documents their vacation. An inward self-discovery through the medium of wave riding, time spent trotting along rolling hills in search of silence and the organic sounds of the earth washing over.

Niebla tells the story of a group of friends who journey through a vast desert landscape using sea kayaks and a trusty 4x4 to navigate their way south. The journey lasted 14 days and they covered over 180km discovering great surf and a landscape where time seems to have stood still.

Se han currado unas colaboraciones muy interesantes, nada más y nada menos que con Margaux Arramon-Tucoo, Clovis Donizetti y James Parry. Cada uno ha puesto un poco de lo que le gusta y les han salido unas quillas con una pinta extraordinaria. Ha sido un trabajo largo, probando cosas y haciendo cambios sutiles en las formas. Diseñadas aquí, hechas en California con una calidad increíble.

The new models are now available DEFLOW Fins. Carefully worked have some very interesting collaborations, nothing more and nothing less than Margaux Arramon-tucoo, Clovis Donizetti and James Parry. Each has a little of what you like and have left some keels with an extraordinary painting. It has been a long job, trying things and making subtle changes in the forms. Designed here (Spain), made in California with amazing quality.

Deus Nine Foot & Single

The Nine Foot & Single Men's Invitational was the highlight of the event held by Deus Ex Machina in Bali last May 28, 2016.

With a solid swell pumping in Bali, the Pererenan Right in Canggu gave the earlier rounds a wild start. Then, just before the semi-finals started, the conditions cleared up and offered perfect combination of tough but fun waves - huge and clean right handers with a variety of sections for the participants to show off their skills:
a solid drop, a nice barreling section, steep walls for nose riding, and a hackable section at the inside for a strong finish.

Jared Mell, Josh Constable, Jye Byrnes, and Harrison Roach charged the finals. All of them surfed using their self-shaped logs which were all as beautiful and elegant as their surfing.

This video also features surfing by Deni Blackboys, Yuta Sezuta, and others.

"My first board was red fish 6'2 ft. I thought it was ideal until I tried using it. After being in the water for 5 minutes my board gained 10 extra kgs , joints were not airtight and it absorbed the water like a sponge. After that I started studying and developing my skills of a shaper."

Out on the west coast of Ireland, Patagonia Surf Ambassador Tom Doidge-Harrison spends his time chasing waves and honing his craft shaping surfboards. “You don’t need all this stuff,” says Tom as he talks about the jacket he’s shaped five hundred boards in, “you just need one that works properly and try to make it last as long as you can.” Our clothes not only serve us with warmth and protection, they carry our stories — surfboard foam shavings and all. That’s what makes them worth hanging onto, repairing and using as long as possible; a virtue that comes naturally to Tom.

The Vans Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational set out for a new expedition in Tofino, Vancouver this past weekend for an incredible display of unique longboarding talent. Securing his fourth Duct Tape Invitational title to add to his three consecutive wins at the Vans US Open, Floridian Justin Quintalclaims first place in the 2016 event, joined by Nate Strom in 2nd, and former title holder, Troy Mothershead in 3rd. With harrowing conditions and unpredictable new surf on the horizon, the podium rose to the occasion, outperforming their peers with timeless style, originality and innovation.
