Michele Puliti....piggies DOUBLE TROUBLE!

Here some beauties based on classic Velzy template. 9.6 to 9.9 lenght piggies just came out from Ola Surfboards. The pig shapes are gettin more popular here in Italy thanks to mastercraftman Michele Puliti's hands and to SingleFin.it guys efforts to give more space to what the most call retro-surfing-culture but I call real-pleasure of surfing. Anyway, waiting for my brand new narrower nose "Mud Pig" designed along with Michele will be glassed, I wanna thank you for you blog. Pig, as once I read, is not RETRO but it's about the future!

Bing Team Rider Jesse Hinkle Elevates & Creates

El Segundo’s Jesse Hinkle may be Bing Surfboard’s youngest team rider (age 16), but he already knows how to express himself on the waves and in his art. Jesse adds his own personal touch to his new 9’5 Bing Elevator and elevates at the Noosa Festival of Surfing this past Spring.

Cy's Aquatic Almonds

There are only a handful of Cy's Aquatic Almonds in circulation so far, and somehow Patrick Derry owns two of them. Glad you found a longboard you can't live without. (times 2)

This is Cy #1 and Eco-Cy at the beach.

JohnMan Wesley

Mentored in the Fine arts of wave sliding and surfcraft design, JohnMan Wesley is a true Surf Gremlin. If Robin and Al had a love child it would be this guy. John Wesley is the most positive and most surf stoked person that you will ever meet. His shapes are amazing, and his kill in the water is mind blowing. Here at RWSS we are unorthodox to say the least. When JohnMan finished this last batch of boards instead of having them pack them and ship them, we had JohnMan hop on a plane and hand deliver them to us. In a world of mass production it is incredibly rare that the person who hand shaped your board would also hand deliver the board 2500 miles just so that he can surf with you! Now that is what we call customer service. It is also rare that the person making the board is an amazing surfer. It makes a huge difference in board design and overall function. When the shaper shreds, he knows how to make boards that work, even if they look a little different than you would imagine. We are currently working on a special collaboration with JohnMan and will keep you posted on what we are planning… Thanks for the stoke JohnMan, you are always welcome here in Charleston!!!

SURF THUMP - Almond Surfboards

Cam put together a little Surf Thump clip for your informational and viewing pleasure.

Speaking of Surf Thumps, we've got a used on in the shop at the moment. I swiped it off the racks while I was waiting for my new board, but now I'm flipping it. Perfect condition.

"He hasn't called me once.... since he got his new Bing"

Classic ad... This Bill Robbins photo resonated with the audience in SURFER magazine July 1965. More than a few teenage boys dreamed of rescuing this surfer girl even as they also related to the allure of the waves.

"Gee, I wish I had a Bing board" Another smart ad in Surfer magazine of Spring 1962. More than a few young surfers probably had the thought. This was Charlie Quesnel's.
All their old ads are featured in the 'Bing Surfboards, 50 years of Craftsmanship and Innovations'

The Riddler

The Riddler has a square nose 7 1/2″ flat. The tail is also square 6″ flat with a soft stinger wing, 6 foot bottom concave and 3 foot step tail. Question mark resin design standard. It blew minds at the Oceanside Noseriding Contest, with crazy looks and mind-bending nose rides. People rave about its turning ability. This is very time consuming to build.

9’2″ to 10’0″, Thickness 3 1/8″
Nose 18″, Tail 15 1/8″
Width 22 7/8″, triple stringer t band
6x10oz Volan Deck, 10oz Bottom
